At Burton on Trent Golf Club we are proud to be hosting the Brabazon Trophy Midlands qualifier. In May 2025 we will be welcoming some of the best amateur golfers in the area to compete for a place in the final held at Hankley Common Golf Club. The Barabazon Trophy is the most prestigious amateur tournament and attracts an international field. Being recognised by England Golf as a true test for such a tournament is a fantastic achievement by everyone associated with the club.
As a visitor to Burton on Trent Golf Club, you can look forward to a challenging round at an England Golf Championship Venue, followed by a relaxed beverage and chat about how the round went in the Clubhouse.
The Clubhouse is warm and friendly with everything required for members and visitors to enjoy before and after their round.
Our club is situated in between Burton on Trent and Swadlincote. The course measures 6,510 yards, par 71 for men and 5,680 yards, par 73 for ladies and is an excellent test of golf for any level of golfer.
On our Harry Colt designed course, golf can be played for 52 weeks a year on lovely, fast running fairways and tricky greens, in a mature park/woodland setting.
There are a number of superb holes on this enjoyable but testing layout, most notably the 10th and 12th two long par threes, the 5th, 14th, 16th and 17th long par fours and 3rd and 13th long par fives. Finish your round on the 18th, one of the best finishing holes in the area, an Augusta style layout with water before the green and right in front of the Clubhouse.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
As a club we pride ourselves to be able to offer our members and visitors a quality experience whether they are on the course or in the clubhouse. Please see below some of the latest testimonials from visiting groups and event organisers:

"Fantastic course in the summer and well maintained. Difficult in the winter and hard to play due to the amount of leaves on the course. Nice clubhouse with friendly staff."
